Abstract:

Hybrid fintech systems often assume that a core banking debit and a blockchain transaction can behave like one atomic operation. In reality, partial failures create inconsistent balances, regulatory risk, and costly reconciliation. This session explores the “atomicity illusion” in hybrid financial systems and shares practical patterns to coordinate on-chain and off-chain steps safely. Attendees will learn when to use XA, when to use Saga, how to design compensations, and how to build auditable failure handling. You’ll leave with clear, repeatable patterns you can apply to real financial systems.

Brijesh Deo is the Director of MicroTx Product Development within Oracle’s database organization. With over two decades of industry leadership, Brijesh specializes in the intersection of Agentic AI, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures. He is a recognized expert in Microservices, Kubernetes, and Java, with a particular focus on high-scale Fintech solutions. Prior to his current role at Oracle, Brijesh held key engineering and leadership positions at Motorola, SonicWALL, Dell, and Juniper Networks. He remains a passionate advocate for the evolution of Artificial Intelligence and its integration into global cloud infrastructure.
