International payments remain uniquely complex, slow, and expensive due to fragmented global systems, technical hurdles, and complex regulations. In this talk, Harsh will share lessons learned over the last 10 years navigating these challenges and building a more connected and efficient ecosystem, highlighting the crucial importance of local expertise, adapting to dynamic requirements, and pushing beyond purely technical solutions to influence the landscape itself.

Bio:

Harsh Sinha is the Chief Technology Officer at Wise, the global fintech company building the best way to move money across borders. Since joining Wise in 2015, Harsh has played a critical role in scaling the company’s infrastructure, growing its engineering organization, and helping Wise become one of the fastest-growing and most profitable technology companies in the world.

Under his leadership, Wise has expanded its platform to serve over 12 million customers, processing more than £118 billion in annual cross-border payments while saving users over £1.8 billion in fees. Prior to Wise, Harsh was Director of Product at PayPal, where he led the strategy and development of the company’s mobile apps and third-party wallet integrations.

In addition to his work at Wise, Harsh is an active advisor and angel investor, supporting early-stage startups across fintech and developer infrastructure. He brings over two decades of experience at the intersection of engineering, product, and global financial systems.
