Roadblock Title:

Designing Payment Integrations for AI Agents

Time:

Wednesday - 10:30 AM (Tower D)

Abstract:

Payment integrations keep getting harder—more APIs, more edge cases, more ways to fail. For years, we’ve tried to fix this with better SDKs and more documentation. It hasn’t worked. As AI increasingly assists developers, a new challenge emerges: documentation isn’t designed for AI agents. This session explores why AI agent skills are the missing layer in modern payment and API integrations. Drawing on real-world experience, we’ll show how agent skills can encode intent, constraints, and operational knowledge that docs can’t—reducing integration friction, accelerating onboarding, and fundamentally improving developer experience without breaking existing APIs.

Bio:

Rahul Dighe is a Senior Director of Product focused on merchant, payment, and developer experiences across large-scale fintech platforms. He has spent over a decade building and scaling API-driven products, integrations, and developer ecosystems at companies like PayPal and, most recently, Paze—a digital wallet backed by the largest U.S. banks. Rahul has led global payment integrations from inception to scale, built developer onboarding and integration platforms used by thousands of merchants and partners, and worked closely with banks, networks, and platform teams to simplify complex payment flows. His work sits at the intersection of payments, APIs, and developer experience—where small DX improvements can unlock massive adoption and velocity.

Today, Rahul is focused on how AI agent skills can fundamentally change how integrations are built, documented, and operated—moving beyond static APIs and documentation toward adaptive, agent-driven developer experiences.

He frequently speaks and writes about developer experience, platform strategy, and the future of payments integrations, with a practical, builder-first perspective grounded in real-world systems.
