Roadblock Title:

Overcoming AI compliance roadblocks in payment systems: A playbook for fintech builders

Time:

Tuesday - 10:30 AM (Tower D)

Abstract:

AI is transforming payments—enhancing fraud detection, improving transaction approval rates, and more. However, fintech teams must navigate a rapidly changing and complex regulatory landscape. In 2025 alone, Congress repealed rules that would have enabled the CFPB to supervise digital wallet and payment app providers; Federal Reserve officials flagged risks tied to synthetic identity fraud; and the FTC acted against a business making inflated AI performance claims. This session will provide developers, product managers and builders with practical steps to identify and manage AI compliance obstacles without slowing down innovation.
