Sam Lightfoot
Roadblock Title:
Mastering latency: Elevating web application performance
Time:
Tuesday - 3:00 PM (Windows)
Abstract:
In this session, Sam Lightfoot and Kirill Barsukov will explore advanced latency optimization strategies that drastically improve web application performance. Attendees will learn how to reduce latency and enhance responsiveness, using real-world examples from their work at J.P. Morgan. The session will highlight key optimization strategies for Apache Cassandra, HTTP connections, and web applications, emphasizing the role of observability in diagnosing and addressing latency issues. Through this talk, participants will gain practical knowledge and techniques that can be applied to their own web applications, achieving better client experiences, more efficient resource usage, and predictable latencies.
