Roadblock Title:

How to Use Shadow/Replay Testing to Catch Production Bugs Before They Ship

Time:

Wednesday - 2:00 PM (Tower A)

Abstract:

Fintech environments often suffer from a “reliability gap” where staging fails to catch production edge cases, leading to brittle pipelines and on-call fatigue. Drawing on 19 years of experience at Lowe’s and JPMorgan, this roadblock talk deconstructs a three-layer validation ecosystem designed for $90B-scale systems. We move beyond static UAT to architect CI/CD-driven ephemeral layers, shared legacy-compatible staging, and a high-fidelity Pre-Prod Shadow/Replay layer. I will share a blueprint for mirroring real-time production traffic and syncing datasets with security masking to enable 100% automated regression coverage via Playwright. Attendees receive implementation patterns ensured zero-failure rollouts.
