Time:
Thursday - 10:00 AM (5th floor - Manchester E)
Abstract:
Our systems are increasingly complex even without the socio-technical piece on top. In this talk I’ll walk through some SRE practices and insights that we’ve utilized to help provide the best experience for our users as well as our engineers working on the system. Whether it’s running incidents and incident review or how many of our issues are just traffic-shaping problems in disguise.
Bio:
Zach McCoy is a principal staff engineer at Jack Henry who consistently thinks about how socio-technical systems fail. He has a deep love for programming languages and functional programming in Scala.
